Abstract
  • The 4-H Program celebrated its 100th birthday in 2002. Over the course of the past 100 years, 4-H has provided fun and experiential learning opportunities for young people. The knowledge gained in 4-H is intended to help young people develop essential life skills that set the stage for a productive and successful life. Today, many youth continue to be involved in traditional 4-H projects like cooking, creative arts, and animal science. There are many new ways to participate in 4-H as well, such as the 4-H Wildlife Stewards program, leadership training, cultural arts, and technology.
