Abstract
  • Welcome to 4-H Dog Obedience! Dog training should be fun for you and your dog. Obedience competition is a person and a dog working together as a team. To become a team, you must concentrate completely on the work and keep the undivided attention of the dog. Be an interesting, fair, patient teacher and friend for your dog. As you work together, the close bond necessary for team performance will develop. The underlying theme of this training program is “control and enthusiasm.” The ultimate goal is an attentive, enthusiastic dog, under complete control, that responds immediately and eagerly to all commands.
