During this project period primary objectives were (1) to locate suitable intertidal and subtidal clam planting sites and to determine the feasibility of planting laboratory spawned clams; (2) to determine the potential for a subtidal clam fishery in Oregon; (3) to
develop techniques for spawning and rearing clams, (4) to refine techniques for aging clams, (5) to develop appropriate subtidal clam management schemes applicable on a coastwide basis, and (6) to determine the feasibility of purchasing and planting juvenile red abalone along the Oregon coast."
