Abstract
  • Clothing is constantly changing as fibers, yams, fabrics, dyes, and finishes change. Labels are intended to provide information for consumers at the point of purchase. Labels disclosing the fiber content of clothing and permanent care labels are both required by law. Other information may be provided by manufacturers to help consumers make purchase decisions. Consumers need to read, understand, and use the labels.
