dc.description	This is a presentation made by the Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife before a meeting of the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission. It advocates closing sport harvests of abalone, citing a "conservation crisis." ""We have reason to suspect that abalone are being taken from Oregon waters under the guise of sport harvesting and are being sold illegally in California. Staff inspection of abalone areas in the last two years indicate a depleted population." (p.6) Recommended changes to the Oregon Administrative Rules are given.	en_US
