Description:
In 1967, Oregon State University applied to the Bureau of State Lands for a 10-year lease on 153 acres of tideland in Netarts Bay, in order to conduct research on shellfish. A change in state law in 1970 invalidated the old terms of the lease. The University decided to request that the land be made a reserve for shellfish research. This document gives the response of the Oregon Fish Commission to OSU's proposal. Includes map showing proposed reserve.
