  • Fish and wildlife resources of the Deschutes Basin, their distribution, limiting factors, harvest,and water requirements are reviewed in this report. Stream flow recommendations specifically designed to meet the biological requirements of the basin's fish. Also presented are recommended flows to maintain recreational values on selected streams. This report has been assembled primarily for the Oregon State Water Resources Board and is designed to facilitate the Board's effort to update the Deschutes water-use program. Field studies were conducted in 1969 and 1970 by Kenneth E. Thompson, Jim E. Lauman, and John D. Fortune, Jr.
