Description
  • Ji-Hae Kang was born in South Korea and raised in Beaverton, Oregon. At the time of the interview she was a senior studying General Science with a Chemistry minor. Kang discusses her position as a cultural center coordinator for the Asian & Pacific Cultural Center; projects and activities including working with the center's library, listserv, scrapbook, and programs database; her personal and professional growth in her communication skills; experiences working with her fellow center coordinators; her raised awareness of micro-aggressions and the actions she has taken to educate others; her excitement for the new APCC building; advice for future staff members including to be very mindful of how they present themselves as they are representatives of the center and the need to stand up against social injustices, however small.
