Abstract:
Oregon Explorer (OE) (http://oregonexplorer.info) is a digital library for Oregon’s natural resources developed at Oregon State University Libraries by an interdisciplinary team and a variety of external partners. The purpose of OE is to provide easily accessible natural resources information to decision makers and practitioners as well as to researchers, students, and anyone concerned about Oregon’s natural resources.
This demonstration will be presented by a new member of the Oregon Explorer team. A brief history of OE will be given including thoughts on working on the interdisciplinary team from a librarian’s perspective. A live demonstration of OE will include a look at the administrative tool, different features of OE including its links to OSU’s institutional repository, and the mapping tool.
