The preparation of 4-(3-hydroxypropyl) cyclohexanone and
of 4-(3-hydroxypropyl) cyclohexene and a number of their derivatives
as potential precursors of asymmetrically substituted bicyclo [3, 3, 1]
nonanes is described.
