During 1971 the Department of Oceanography, Oregon State University,
continued its program of shore sampling of ocean temperatures and salinities
along the coast of the Pacific Northwest. Daily observations for six stations
are listed along with monthly maxima, minima, means and standard deviations
of temperature and salinity.
During 1967 the Department of Oceanography, Oregon State University, continued its program of shore sampling of ocean temperatures and salinities along the coast of the Pacific Northwest. Observations for 1960 through 1966 are contained in five Data Reports which are listed under references. The data in this report were collected...
The Paisley Caves in Oregon record the oldest directly dated human remains (DNA) in the Western Hemisphere. More than 100 high-precision radiocarbon dates show that deposits containing artifacts and coprolites ranging in age from 12,450 to 2295 ¹⁴C years ago are well stratified. Western Stemmed projectile points were recovered in...
CTD observations were made in the Code region near Pt. Arena on the northern California coast at 39°N, off Crescent City at 41°54 1 N, off Half Moon Bay at 37°25'N and off Pt. Purisima at 34°45'N during 2-13 July 1981. The observations in the Code region included three repeated...
A summary is presented of drift bottle releases and recoveries for
87 cruises taken between January 1961 and January 1971. Statistics for
each drift bottle recovered are given for the total time elapsed between
release and recovery, the velocity and the direction toward which each
bottle traveled. Maps of drift...
CTD observations of temperature and salinity were made
off the coast of Peru between 12°S and 16°S from the
R/V EASTWARD, between 23 July and 16 August 1976. The
observations were made during Legs 0, 1, and 2 of JASON,
which was the middle phase of the JOINT-II project conducted...

Salinity, temperature, oxygen, phosphate, and nitrate observations were taken by Oregon State University on 16 hydrographic cruises in the Northeastern Pacific Ocean during 1969. Alkalinity , pH and silicate were taken on special occasions. Nine cruises were taken along the Newport line. The rest were special cruises made off Depoe...
