Cover crop selection and management depend on many factors, among them the cover crop’s ability to accumulate dry matter (i.e., residues) and nitrogen (N). Dry matter provides energy for soil organisms, contributes to soil organic matter, improves tilth, and acts as a sink for nutrients.
This publication is offered as a reference to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) resources available to Oregon growers. It highlights university, federal, state, and private services and resources that provide support to growers in the implementation of IPM programs. The purpose of this work was to develop a dynamic partial order model of II electrolyte solutions which avoids inconsistencies present in the Debye-1-Iuckel and 1n related theories. It is shown that our results are consistent with activity coefficient data in aqueous electrolyte solutions. The main features of our work...
Turbulent mixing across adjacent subchannels in packed rod
bundles was studied using conductivity measurement and sodium
chloride solution as the tracer. Single phase water was the fluid
investigated.
The packed rod bundles were seven stainless steel tubes,
1.905 cm in diameter and 152.4 cm long, arranged in hexagonal close-packed
configuration...
