A guild of three and possibly five tip moths
(Rhyacionia spp.) occurs on ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa)
in southeastern Montana, northwestern South Dakota, and
southwestern North Dakota. Trapping results indicated that
many of these species may be flying simultaneously, and
individual species relative abundances showed west-to-east
trends.

Native bees are critically important organisms that support biodiversity and crop production via their pollination services. Wildfires in temperate conifer forests can increase bee abundance and flowering plant density due to increased light exposure, but little information is available regarding how wildfire severity influences provisioning to bee offspring, which is...
Among the changes farm families have faced during the past two
decades has been the dramatic increase in off-farm employment. Historically,
women's involvement has been essential to the functioning of the family
farm, and as off-farm income has increased in importance, increasing
numbers of farm women have joined the ranks...
Neurospora crassa has been for decades a principal model for filamentous
fungal genetics and physiology as well as for understanding
the mechanism of circadian clocks. Eukaryotic fungal and animal
clocks comprise transcription-translation-based feedback loops that
control rhythmic transcription of a substantial fraction of these transcriptomes,
yielding the changes in protein...
