The International Institute of Fisheries Economics & Trade (IIFET) is a global organization consisting of 700 members from over 65 countries around the world, advancing the productive use of economic theory and analysis to answer critical questions surrounding the sustainable use of marine resources and to ensure future livelihoods of those who produce food from the sea.

IIFET 2016 Scotland was our 18th biennial conference held since the founding of the organization in 1982. 403 professionals from academia, industry, government, international agencies, and the non-profit sector attended, from 47 countries.
