Abstract
  • This paper explores the optimal management strategies of two species with different life history traits. Here we consider a prey-predator relationship which may represent a resident species and an invasive species. They have different life history traits and interact by competing food and space and predation in the same ecosystem. A two-species stage-structured bioeconomic model is constructed to include these interactions and their history traits. The biological part of the model includes age-specific life history traits such as survival rates, fecundity, and spawning successes for resident and invasive species, while the economic part takes account of the values of harvesting stocks in terms of their harvesting costs and market Prices. The optimal management strategies will be explored subject to the population dynamics, their life history trait and changes in costs and prices.
