Abstract
  • This presentation provides an introduction to the FAO-World Bank Rent Drain Study. The objective of the study is to present the story of the world's depleted and overexploited marine fisheries in economic terms. The study develops an economic justification at the global level for restoring the health of fish stocks. The primary target audience includes the planning, finance and fisheries ministers who determine national political and economic agendas and are potentially the champions of fishery reform processes.
