Abstract
  • This is the story of Beacon Rock, the lofty and rugged sentinel guarding the Columbia. Through the public spirit and generosity of Mr. Biddle, who has built trails and bridges to the summit, Beacon Rock has been made an observation point, from which may be viewed one of the most beautiful and entrancing scenes in the world. The story of Beacon Rock is reprinted from The Spectator. ---C.F.A.
