Abstract
  • In order for autonomous underwater vehicles to be successful, they must be able to maintain accurate information about their state variables and the state of their critical components. The software developed by Bruce D'Ambrosia and Wade Brittain, (Real-time Tracking and Probabilistic Assessment of Physical Systems) proposes a methodology to provide this essential information in such domains. In the following paper we evaluate the effectiveness of this methodology in maintaining accurate information about state variables when faced with significant noise and discrete failures.
