Abstract	Presentation delivered at the Honors Education at Research Universities Conference, Corvallis, Oregon. Examines the historical relationship between Oregon State University's Honors College with the Special Collections department and, later, the Special Collections and Archives Research Center at OSU Libraries. Discusses in particular the ways in which this relationship has evolved, the benefits that have been accrued as a result of the relationship, and the types of work that Honors students have performed while employed as student assistants supporting the archival enterprise. Specific topics include student work in support of projects related to Linus Pauling, as well as the creation of the Student Archivist positions in SCARC, which is funded equally by the University Honors College and the OSU Libraries.
