Abstract
  • Showcase poster presented at the OLA/WLA 2008 Joint Conference, April 2008.
  • This showcase presents findings from two rounds of usability testing conducted on OSU Libraries web site in Spring 2007 and Fall 2007. Methods employed included the think aloud protocol, card sorting and the use of personas and scenarios. Results were used to redesign OSU Libraries web site and to improve weaknesses of each design iteration. Usability results showed continued points of confusion and revealed challenges with meeting users wide ranging needs. Implications of the results impact future development of the web site. Results also suggested areas where follow up usability and targeted information literacy instruction may benefit users.
