Abstract
  • The Fish Management Policy of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) requires that management plans be prepared for each basin or management unit. The Salmon River Basin Fish Management Plan (hereafter referred to as the Salmon River Plan) was developed to direct management of the fish resources of the Salmon River basin. The scope of the plan includes the mainstem Salmon River and its tributaries and publicly accessible lakes, ponds and reservoirs in the basin. The Salmon Plan is one of several Oregon mid-coast basin plans developed by ODFW. Other plans have been developed for the Siletz River, Yaquina River, Alsea River, Yachats River, and Siuslaw River basins and for small ocean tributary streams along the mid-coast.
