Abstract	Recreational resources of the Owyhee Breaks Recreation Area are almost all of the extensive type such as sightseeing, hunting, pleasure boating and rockhounding. However, because of the increasing use both past and projected, it is imperative that facilities be developed to make these areas more useable and more enjoyable to the public. Careful consideration must be given to the types of recreation and the location of recreational activities before final site selections are made. Sites are required that are of sufficient size and so located that they may be developed to fulfill these needs.
