Abstract
  • In summer 1992, I interned as a Technical Assistant with the Kosrae Bureau of Planning and Statistics, Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia (F.S.M). The University of Oregon Micronesia Program sponsored the internship, which proved to be a unique professional and cross-cultural experience. The internship, initiated by Mr. Gerson Jackson, Director of the Kosrae Office of Budget and Planning, provided me the opportunity to work closely with Mr. Likiak Wesley, Chief if the Kosrae Bureau of Planning and Statistics, to begin the implementation of a new coastal resource management program.
