Abstract
  • The purpose of this study was to look at how Latinx fraternities and sororities influence a Latinx student’s identity development, academics, and their sense of belonging at a historically white university. A qualitative narrative study was utilized to understand the experiences of the four participants and their responses to the research questions’ three pre-determined themes. Through the responses, two other unexpected themes emerged: fraternity and sorority life assumptions and awareness, which had subthemes of Latinx identities and issues among students. The findings showed that Latinx Greek-letter organizations have a positive influence among the themes.
