Abstract	The researcher investigated Chinese older adults’ (defined here as 50 and over) housing needs and evaluated their perceptions on senior cohousing. The main purposes of the project were to understand the basic and long term housing and elderly care demands of older adults; to identify desirable amenities and services in the community; and to identify various services and design features that help to support the physical and social well-being of older adults. Based on the findings of this study, the researcher offers insight into the services and design features needed to sustain the well-being of older adults in China.
