Abstract	During the last five years the demand for electrical energy in the state of Oregon,and throughout the entire country,has increased to such an extent that electrical generating stations have become an important factor in the economic development of the common wealth. Uonsidering the great need for cheap power, which is mostly in the form of electrical energy, and that this state has abundant water power, the design of a hydroelectric generating station with transmission an distributing system seems to the writers of this thesis to be quite timely.
