  • At This Point, an undergraduate-focused science podcast, works to expand the accessibility of science by exploring topics that, at this point, may seem too complex to understand. This thesis project describes the process of creating At This Point and demonstrates how the podcast fulfills the criteria of effective science communication. Science communication is defined, as are methods used to achieve its goals of educating and engaging non-specialized audiences. Each episode features the project of an undergraduate researcher at Oregon State University. Episodes are framed as immersive narratives that establish a common language. Non-specialized audiences learn key results of each project, gain insight into the scientific process, and connect the work to potential broader impacts.
