  • Una de las herramientas más eficaces utilizadas por el Malheur Experiment Station durante las últimas dos décadas es el sensor matricial granular (o GMS por sus siglas en inglés), el cual mide la humedad del suelo. El sensor tiene sólo 7,5 cm de largo, y normalmente se entierra verticalmente en el suelo. Se conoce como el Watermark Soil Moisture Sensor, y está fabricado por Irrometer Co., Riverside, CA.
