"The sport/commercial interaction concerning Dungeness crab in our estuaries is heating up again. The shellfish staff has discussed this at length and agrees.that the interaction is an indication that our bay crab regulations need to be reviewed. There are currently two issues that need to be resolved: 1) The sport/commercial interaction, and 2) the wise use of available crabs by the sport fishery." (Introduction) Includes catch-and-effort statistics for several Oregon estuaries.
