Abstract
  • The successful air seasoning of lumber and other wood products depends largely upon the correct handling of stock from the time it leaves the saw until it reaches a moisture content suitable for use. The following points summarize the general rules for laying out the yard end piles, for piling, and for evaluating the factors which control the drying rate. A method for determining the moisture content of wood is also included.
