Abstract	This document contains a result of a study to determine the role of hatchery-reared winter steelhead in steelhead fisheries. The study examines the contribution of these salmon ‘with respect to’ angling intensity, number of fish stocked, contribution of native stocks, and several other factors. It also investigates survival of hatchery-reared steelhead in relation to how they were released and the cost of placing a hatchery salmon as a potential spawner.
