  • In 1973, Oregon, Washington and California along with the National Marine Fisheries Service and the Pacific Marine Fisheries Commission "entered into a cooperative State/Federal Dungeness Crab Management Program." As part of the process of setting up a coastwide management program, this 1977 report is intended to "inventory and evaluate the available management information on Dungeness crabs and identify the data needed for the development of a comprehensive management plan..." (p.1)
