Reports on private Chinook, chum and coho salmon hatcheries (PSHs)in Oregon in the mid-1980s. Includes a map of hatchery operation sites, and statistical tables. Oregon State University's facility at Whiskey Creek, Netarts Bay, was back in operation. Suspected impacts of a private hatchery on the run of coho salmon on the Yaquina River are discussed. "In this report I will discuss the development of the PSH regulations, status of current permits, those which have been terminated, applications which were turned down, and the outlook for the future. Various tables of supporting or often requested information are attached to this report." (from the Introduction)
