"Petrale sole are taken commercially from Santa Barbara, California, to Hecate Strait, British Columbia. These 1arge deep-bodied flounders are one of the major contributors to Oregon's trawl fishery, as well as those of Washington, British Columbia, and California. Only the Dover and the English soles appear in greater quantities." (Introduction) Life history and status of the fishery are given. Digitized by an ODFW employee.
