Abstract
  • General Science Honors Program thesis.
  • The objective of this study is to observe the vertical distribution of marine alga and fauna in the intertidal region and determine any zoning patterns that appear to exist. This includes identifying the various organisms present in this environment and determining their concentration with respect to vertical location. The location of zones will be found in relation to vertical height and compared with those found by ether investigators in different locations. Particular organisms will be considered in more detail and discussed in relation to pertinent factors which affect their vertical distribution.
