Dataset Abstract: This dataset was used to determine the attenuation of an audio signal by reticulated foam samples that span the natural range of intrinsic permeability for seasonal snow. Data are audio measurements acquired on a two-channel oscilloscope. The original, artificially-generated signal is measured on channel 1 and the attenuated return signal was acquired on channel 2. Each experiment contains four files: a comma-separated (CSV) file of the original signal, a second (CSV) file for the second channel, a bitmap image of the measured signals and a file that contains the oscilloscope settings. Each individual ASCII file contains the results of 1 frequency applied at one amplitude for a one foam type. The ASCII files are named consecutively by run index using the template, "F{index}CH{channel_number}.csv". Subdirectories are named in year, month and day using the format "YYYYMMDD". This format lists the subdirectories chronologically. For example, data acquired on channel 2 for run 71 on November 22, 2015 is contained in "Permeameter_AC/20151122/All0071/F0071CH2.csv".
