"Training site" selection for computer analysis of snowfield extent; southern Cascade Mountains, Oregon

Abstract:: Data from the southern Cascade Mountains of Oregon has been collected for application in computer analysis of snowfields. Vegetation type, canopy cover, slope, aspect, insolation, and snowfield ground truth delineation are given consideration.
