Water partitioning and respiration activity of dormant grape buds

Dormancy of 'Pinot Noir' grapevines was characterized. Primary buds required ca 300 cumulative chilling hours (CCH) to initiate the transition from endodormancy to ecodormancy, which occurred in mid November.
