    A study to determine the effect of certain synthetic organic insecticides on the Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) Test was performed. BOD tests on a standard glucose-glutamic acid substrate were conducted while in the presence of dieldrin, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT), or diazinon.
