  • Algorithms and MP1 parallel C programs are developed for constructing wavelet expansions of long-range potential functions with O(n) time complexity. A new high frequency correction algorithm is introduced. The emphasis is on the common potential expansion encountered in physics that behaves as l/r in three-dimensions. The central B-Splines are used as the basis functions. Several simple cases are tested on the parallel program and compared its performance with standard expansion method. This C program can be used in such as astrophysics, molecular dynamics simulation and General electrical potential fields computation.
