Abstract
  • The object of this work was to design and fabricate an integrated circuit using Integrated Injection Logic. Integrated Injection Logic (I[superscript 2] L) is a relatively new field and has many inherent advantages. These have been exploited in this work. Logic for the desired functions was designed and implemented in discrete component form. Tests were carried out to determine its performance. Astable multivibrator and frequency counter stages were used to obtain delay in the circuit. The circuit was then converted from discrete to integrated form. A photolithographic method was used to obtain different masks and the wafer was fabricated in the laboratory and tested. This circuit did not work as desired probably due to low current gain ((3) and high leakage currents.
