Abstract
  • This report summarizes the results of crab studies undertaken during the fall of 1957 and 1958 in the Columbia River estuary. The purpose of this project was to determine the shell condition of the crabs available in this area during the period when crab fishing is prohibited in the ocean, and to study the movement of these crabs by tagging. The total catch of crabs taken by commercial fishermen in this area was also tabulated.
