Abstract	Fishing systems provide employment, income generation, poverty alleviation, and food security. Management actions have ecological, economic and social implications that must be addressed carefully. The coexistence of small-scale fisheries (SSFs) and large-scale fisheries (LSFs) increases management complexity.
