  • Throughout history, royal wedding gowns have symbolized wealth, high fashion, along with representing what is going on in society at the time. The royal wedding gowns throughout history have been the most talked about dresses. Leading up to the wedding, people are left guessing the designer and the style, and on the wedding day thousands tune in to watch. Royal brides set the tone for what brides everywhere should wear for their day. This thesis examines what past royal brides wore and what societal factors influenced it, along with how that has changed or stayed the same with more modern brides. All the research is then applied to the future of royal weddings by designing a wedding dress for a future bride.
